How long have you been in business?
Charlotte Fine Art opened its doors June 1, 2011. Curator Joni Purk has been in business since 2000.
What is your primary product or service?
Original works of art from artists throughout the U.S. exclusive to the Greater Charlotte Metropolitan area. Two- and three- dimensional works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, photography, glass, woodturning, fine art jewelry, silk, pottery, sculpture.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Thirty years in the fine art business, and 15 years as a business owner in fine art, I was in partnership with an East Bay Gallery in Charleston as of 2006. Living in Charlotte, the need to locate a fine art gallery in the City with the added benefit to house a studio, as well, came to light. Budding to advanced artists create in weekly classes, children's camps, teen and adult workshops. We offer a fresh, new gallery exhibit and reception each month featuring an artist or event.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
CFA has a fresh, new exhibit each and every month since it opened its' doors in 2011. A diverse selection of style, media and color palette.
